Where are we located?

The Hive is located at 950 Gravenstein Hwy South, in Sebastopol CA. We are across the street from Handline, and in the same building as Acre Coffee. We’re the last unit on the south end of the building, near the white picket fence (not in the courtyard). We have large plants outside and a couple comfy patio chairs to enjoy the sunshine before or during your appointment. Please contact your stylist directly if you have any questions about our location.

How long will an appointment take?

Each appointment is unique to the individual and the timing varies from stylist to stylist. A typical haircut ranges from about 45-75* minutes. A haircolor appointment, depending on complexity, can range from 2-5 hours*. Please contact your stylist if you have a timeframe PRIOR to your appointment date, as we want you to fully enjoy your experience at The Hive. This is a time to treat yourself, and allowing the stylist to do their best work in their own time frame will always result in the most fulfilling hair experience.

What color line do we use?

Our stylists use a variety of lines to get the best results for the guest’s hair needs. We use ammonia-free colors as much as possible, to keep the air in the salon clean and free of irritants. Each stylist chooses their favorite products that help achieve the desired results while keeping in line with our cruelty-free and sustainable ethics.

What is our Cancellation Policy?

We have a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. Each stylist must be contacted directly if you need to cancel your upcoming appointment. If a client cancels within the 48 hour window, they will be responsible for a 50-100% service fee that is to be paid before rescheduling their next appointment. If you have any questions, please contact your stylist directly. If you have not been feeling well, PLEASE contact your stylist as soon as possible prior to your appointment so we can reschedule for a later date.

How much will my appointment cost?

The Hive is a ‘stylist collective’; meaning each stylist has their own price list and availability. To inquire about pricing, please contact your stylist directly, and they can schedule an in-person or over the phone consultation. All color services are quotes, meaning the final price will reflect if extra color or extra time is needed to achieve the desired results. Your stylist will inform you of these occurrences.
